    Hi there

Personally I would wait a bit and get GTX1080 or GTX1070, regarding which card to get, EVGA do have own issues with not the best cooler and hot VRM and I liked a lot Zotac GTX1080 AMP which has been one awesome card, but still I would rather go with AMP Extreme which have better cooler than normal AMP

Palit do have great cards as well and Gainward as well but what counts for EVGA is warranty

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Had GTX 970 previously, jumped onto the 1070, huge noticeable difference and the extra vRAM helps.

Considering noise is the driving factor here, I can confirm that my last two MSi cards have been nearly silent (970 and now my 1070). MSi puts on fantastic, large coolers and the default fan curve works really well for noise and heat dissipation.

The GTX 1070 is a pretty fantastic card. I was very satisfied moving to it from a 970. The GTX 1080 has been dropping in price too though. Think I saw them for about $500.

I'm a bit out of the loop on AMD stuff.
