I use nothing, except from the things that come on win7.
G-DATA doesn't uses Kaspersky engine anymore, they changed that since 2009 or 2010. They are using Avast + Bitdefender now
I think they stopped using Kaspersky engine because they've been focusing less on it, and more on other forms of defense such as application control, sandbox etc.
Anyway, G-Data is one of my favorites
thats true m8ty i was about the whole stoty of g data...yeap the 2010 ver rocks better and i love it too@! now i use the new avast fro testing and seems very good with no more bsds thx god xD
Kaspersky Internet Security 2010
ESET AV Beta 4.2 + Comodo Firewall
Comodo Firewall, and a weekly scan with Trojan Remover.
You can check out which are some of the best security applications here - http://www.matousec.com/projects/proactive-security-challenge/archive.php
Just select which ones (or all) you wish to view.
EDIT: Ah, it seems it only allows 10 products per filtering.
As you can see, some of the more preferred software packages are not all they're cracked up to be.
You can find more information on the tests performed with the vendors at the site above.^
Matousec have always been more like a HIPS test than an antivirus test
I installed an av prog once back in the day, didn't like it, tried to immediately uninstall it and it was being difficult, haven't bothered with any av since, i just prefer to use abit of common sense.
Sometimes common sense can't prevent malware
Though, it will be like a 1% chance of getting a virus. Even less.
I rarely get malware
I have Microsoft Security Essentials, Spybot - S&D, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SpyBlaster installed. I run the latter three periodically, perhaps one a month, and I've had no problems so far. I'm pretty careful when I'm using the internet anyway and, as far as I'm aware, haven't had a major virus infection on any of my PCs for over six years now. MSE has detected the odd virus or trojan from downloads (e.g. NoDVD cracks) but fortunately I never got the chance to open or run them.
AVG Internet Security
That is all!
