He has the same videocard but much better CPU + better ram and same amount, I guess someone's lieing here...

Anyway, I play 1152x864 75hz, anything up goes 60hz :(. All maxed except textures, not for fps but because of stuttering in the beginning. 4xaa/4xaf.

Can you tell me, why do I get exactly the same fps with 0xaa and with 4xaa. This goes both for Serious Sam II demo and BF2 retail. And in serious sam, I get 30fps even at minimum settings. With almost maxed I get min 20fps.
BF2 is almost same at all settings, 800x600 all lowest and 1152x864 all maxed 4xaa/4xaf, same fps, why? Tell me, I don't get it.

force it to 1280 x 1024 will look better..

just add this command line to your BF2 desktop shorcut properties

    PHP:
    +szx 1280 +szy 1024

1152x768 which is stretched out to 1680x1050 as EA couldn't properly incorporate widescreen into BF2.

Just wondering, will putting your AA on 4x in the nv control panel and then also in the BF2 in-game options make it 8x or will it cancel out the AA or just keep it at 4x no matter what?

It would stay at 4x AA, but if you're gonna use 4x it's best to leave it to auto in the CP as some games stutter when you force AA.

    Nvidia 6800 Ultra:

1280x1024 16x AF 4x AA 60Hz (tft) on my main rig, limited by tft. All BF2 options maxed. Runs pretty much perfectly (for me) thanks to 2GB of memory.

    ATI Radeon X800XT PE:

1024x768 16x AF 4x AA 60Hz (tft) on my second rig, limited by tft. All BF2 options maxed. Only 1GB of memory on this machine, but runs pretty much perfectly (for me) for the most part.
