Its all about the mouse. Logitech G9 (first gen) and a $7 SIIG keyboard.
When playing emulators, I use a PS3 USB controller that lights up wooo!

I also have the Gamecom777 which was about $60. I love these. I have already broken them...glued them back together. Will buy a new one next year or so.

95% of all the games i play i use Keyboard/Mouse (Microsoft keyboard + Habu Micro$oft mouse), the remaining 5% i use the xbox360 gamepad (eg. sport games) and or the Micro$oft wheel (eg. driving).

i'm almost a fanboy of microsoft peripheral, i've tried many Logitech products and never liked them, also i wouldn't buy any other mouse but the Habu, pretty much the only mouse that really works for me in terms of comfort etc ;)

as far as sound goes, at night i use my Creative Fatal1ty headset, my speakers are the thx certified Creative 5.1 megaworks.

I use an Xbox 360 controller for about 90% of my PC games but then I also have three games consoles (Xbox 360 obviously, PS3 and Wii) so I'm not as opposed to using gaming controllers as some PC owners are.

In fact, I generally dislike using the keyboard and mouse for gaming except where absolutely necessary (for point 'n' click adventures and strategy games for example). I even play first person shooters such as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Crysis with a 360 controller but then I don't play those kinds of games online anyway. I like the rumble feedback I get from playing games like DiRT 2 and Black Ops with a controller as it immerses me in them more. The advantage of using a controller is that it obviously frees me from being sat a desk to play PC games.
