Any 4870 users out there that can tell me how many iterations per second you get plz?

Im getting 175 most the time and this seems rather low to me

    Thanks :)

Well, I have a 4850 and it's hard to say what's the average. Sometimes it's 300, sometimes it's 900. I think it depends on the protein. It also seems that using the F@hViewer window may slow it down.

If it's the NS per second thing, then mines in the 650 area.

Lol...1% takes my xp2800+ about 4 hours utilizing 27-8% CPU time.

Well, for ati users, CCC9.3 should boost this performance. Maybe this will speed yourthings up. Havn't tested it tough...

My card usually do between 210it/s to 560it/s regardless of the GUI load or driver version.

i installed the new client 2day and joined the folding team,
my hd4670 does ~140ips when i open the f@hviewer and the animation runs fluently,
but after 10-15s the animation slows down and the iterations go up to ~430ips,
    thats about 3-4min for 1%
    im using the catalyst 9.3

    It is protien dependant..
And yes using the Display/viewr does slow things down..
I find it better to use Fahmon to view the PPD totals.

    (Project: 5741 (R3, C105, G96) Credit 384 points. will vary between 1100-450 iters).
takes about 3.5 hours per WU, 2700PPD.

This was with my 4870 1Gb before switching to GTX275 (for folding performance more than anything else, I was quite happy with the performance of my ATI cards in games & 2D modes).

I'm considering picking up a geforce 9500gt pci just to run f@h on 24/7....

    Now I'm getting 4000-4500 iter/sec

My HD 3650 pumps out 206 iterations/sec but if I turn on the viewer, that drops to 56 iterations/sec.

Then again I know that my GPU sucks. It only can process up to 174 GFLOPS compared to the 4850 which can process up to 1 TFLOP. Even the 4770 can process up to 960 GFLOPS.

I think the problem here is that the CAL doesn't look to be updated since before NVIDIA was introduced into the Folding community.

Of course I could be wrong here since F@H isn't open sourced.

Seems like a hundred thousand or so without the viewer, but I can't tell.

With the viewer it seems to be only 30~60.

it makes sense that with the viewer on it'll drag the GPU down since the viewer uses DirectX to render the 3D molecules ... which obviously uses the GPU. Thus, it'll drag the iter/s
