With the card you have it won't be easy, but it is possible. I am working on some new tweaks for WinXP since so many people have that rather than win2k. Most likely though with WinXP you will have to 30k by OCing the heck out of your system unless you can find a copy of win2k lying around somewhere.
12,634 with my current setup, good or bad (newest Omega drivers). According to Futuremark, I have 0 MB of Video Memory
are you guys after all this time didn't know that 3d mark 2001 se isn't based for graphic my friend gor with 9800 se about 30k beacause he has high fsb and vencie proc
Exactly, but still, after all those years, it remains a pretty good overall system benchmark - might be not very accurate, but useful **** 12-13k with Radeon 9800 256-bit and Athlon XP at FSB200 is a real weak score. Try to overclock your system a bit higher (with FSB), turn out all unneeded system processes, make sure you don't have any anitvirus software running in background, set your drivers to performance settings etc. Here are some results o'mine : http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8476499 system oc'ed, graphic card not (it's 9800 Pro@XT) http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8476548 my highest score ever good luck!
You only get 25,485 with that 3700+(SD) @ 2.6ghz and a 6800gt? That is a very weak score for your system. My 3400+/x800xt-pe system at stock speeds scores higher with 25,794 and my system is s754 which is single channel. Even with winXP you can score a hell of a lot better than 25k with that system.
One thing I've learn over the oveclocking competitions I've been on is that ATI cards score higher in 01 than nvidia cards.
Intel P4 chip, 6600gt, and ram timings of 4-4-4-8? You should be happy you got 19k lol. With ram timings like that your never gonna get much in 01 with that system. With some OS tweaks and some OCing you could break 20k. You can check out my site(benchaddix.com) for tweaks to try.
sign up and post your scores and myself or one of the mods will add it. You will also need to be a regiestered member to view the "tips and tweaks" section with all the OS tweaks in it.
