I had to come in here and post probably the most unlikely and funniest one, though I didn't read all the comments.

102 MPH - Prius (Gen 1 and Gen 2) Had to get it on a downhill to get 102 MPH. Only 100 - 101 MPH on flat road.

210km/h in my alfa 156 1.8ts at 7200rpm right on the limiter but i did 240km/h in a calibra 2l turbo 4wd and 250+km/h in a ferrari f430 during a driving session at Le Mans, the last two was not mine.

I did 83 kph on a mountain bike once downhill. Nearly shat my pants. Going down hill with something that fast with no protection... at least in a car u feel as if you're somewhat protected.

Fastest I've been is about 125mph in a mates old Cavalier GSi. Don't quote me on the speed though, it was many many many years ago so that might not be accurate.

For me personally, I think about 110mph in my Leon.

An Alfa Romeo at 110mph, one fine Sunday morning.
It was a real gas-guzzler, and you could actually see the petrol level visibly dropping at that speed. ;)

230km/h in the middle of the night on the 401 in a Mazda 626 Turbo that wasn't mine(I had shady youth :3eyes:)

180 km/h in my Dad's 97 Camaro SS on a back country road(legal this time he was in the passenger seat) That was more satisfying actually.

Nowadays I just speed alot on my Scooter. I had the 50cc cylinder replaced with a 70cc, racing exhaust, Carbon Reeds etc. They are "supposed" to be limited to 45km/h but I have run the needle off the end, it stops counting at 100km/h...

Not much different than skiing the same speed (or a little faster on a good steep slope). It's a great feeling too.... just don't catch an edge!

I drove Aprilia Racing Scooter 50cc arround 110 km/h, it was from one guy from Austria, he also had 125cc Aprilia Racing Replica (if i remember correctly) not scooter, he drove me on that arround 160+ km/h, thing is, scooter is very unstable at 100km/h, when driving that Aprilia, slightest move at that speed and scooter starts to wigle (left - right) hard to mountain straight line. But very enjoyable exp :).

160mph on my old Yamaha R1, and 195mph on my current Suzuki Hayabusa.. I took the Hayabusa to Sicily (from UK) last year as my missus is their and i decided to ride instead of fly (i like riding my bike). Down the Autobahn/toll through france i hit this speed... **** my pants!

Edit: just too add this was at an altitude of about 1000ft, and the dyno reading was about 9 mph less. I have always found that the speed is 1 - 2 mph out every 60, considering wind res and body weight id say i was doing about 188mph.... still, red lining in 6th is enough to give anybody the wobbles....

Edit 2: 190 mph is just over 300 km/ph for all you across the pond....

    Catch me if you can...

Yeah I usually tear around at 60-80 km/h. I really only open it up on some of the back roads. Norway doesn't know the meaning of a straight road so not many places I can really push it.

Well and if I get caught doing it, it's bye bye Scooter...
