just like the topic
i have 790i ultra just is case of conflict or something
I recommend you to buy ASUS Xonar d2 or d2x.No problems in vista at all.Rally nice card, and the sound is really clear.
as expensive as hell lol
ill think about it
and is it better than X Fi ??
i had xfi fatality, and i can say that ASUS xonar is much better than XFI.You can read review on guru3d about asus xonar, its really great card.
Or you could get the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude. It puts every Creative X-Fi to shame and the Prelude shows how the X-Fi had to be made from the beginning, plus you get DDL and DTS with it.
Either way, you can't go wrong with a Xonar or the Prelude.
Prelude, in Audio Creation Mode
The Prelude is $129.99 IIRC @ NCIX.... Not a bad deal for that card.
Would go for the Meridian if its for music.
It isn't just Creative who have made X-Fi's, you do realise that don't you?
too many cards
just pick one guys
i need ultimate sound experience on music then games
Well I'd say if you want both go for the X-Fi Prelude, no questions asked
and then slap a opamp in it later on if you want even more, I also recommand the prelude.
Get the Prelude and be done with it.
Prelude > all. Who needs a front bay anyways which just take up space better used by more hard drives.
go for the X-Fi Prelude, you won't regret it!
I know, I certainly don't, if anything, I wish I had got it sooner!
Sure and as Claymore mentioned, snap in a better opamp and you get even better sound quality.
I just can't wait to get a pair of DT 770's
I use the Asus Xonar D2X. I love it to death. I have used a fair amount of others too (Barracuda AC1, B-Enspire, X-Fi Fatality) and none can compare. Haven't used the Prelude though but have heard some great things about it.
