what is best available 27" 1440P monitor above 144 hrz at 1000CDN price range?
G7 Odyssey 27" 1440p 240hz, VA, 10bit.
i settle for the chg90 from my dell 2716dg 1440p monitor im happy lol.. 1080p isnt tooo bad
i just got the Asus TUF VG27A for a lot less than than that coming from a 35" Agon VA panel.
the g-sync (using rtx 2070) was effortless with hdmi 2.0, nice pixel pitch
the G7 is a better panel esp for max luminance but i don't play any games where the difference between 165 and 240 Hz is worth double the price. it looks "better" but i really like the low key looks of the TUF (esp. vs the ROG)
depends what you want from it
g7 odyssey is a strong contender mainly cause it's VA with no smearing,so for overall gaming image quality (contrast+motion) it'd rate it the highest
but remember you're paying double what an affordable and fairly decent 1440p high refresh costs.
the cost point above
i'm getting a 10+2 bit panel, 1ms gtg, and 165Hz (effective 144 G-sync) with (for the lower end cards) low motion blur reduction.
the g-sync is flawless
i'm ditching a larger VA panel (AOC Agon) for this after much dilly-dallying between this and the Samsung G7. which i think is better but not a value
I would never trade my xb241yu for my main gaming display
it's not the best display overall, but for me,perfect.
can't play anymore without adaptive sync.
best thing in gaming since forever.
running on my secondary gtx1070 gpu atm and frankly,if it wasn't for variable refresh,I wouldn't touch pc gaming.
meanwhile I played the whole mafia trilogy, vampyr, evil within 2,terminator resistance, jedi fallen order.
max settings at 1440p on this ancient gpu but all felt really smooth with gsync on playing on a controller.
in all fairness,to me the monitor is the most important part of any gaming pc.
for the long run, pick something you will really enjoy.
