what is a good upgrade for an nvidia 1080 gpu

hi guys i am wondering whethere it is worth upgrading my gpu i have an nvidia 1080 and was wondering what you guys would suggest for me to upgrade it too

 

for what resolution ?
probably a 3080/6800xt.

 

well as i only have a 1080p monitor i would say that is max resolution at present

 

for 1080p get a 3060ti/6700xt

Those are 1440p cards.

 

better get those than 6600/3060 imo. a lot more performance for a small premium, and he'll be able to get a 1440p high refresh in the future.

 

Indeed, he wont benefit he will be bottlenecked at 144hrz 1080p

 

Don t buy 3060ti for 1080p, ur better off with a 3060 , the only exception, warzone 2.0, if u play that, u might need a 3070, 3060 could be just enough to maintain those 120s and 130fps so that u don t feel input lag with freesync, i d say 120 fps is gonna be ok for 144hrz freesync, but not.less

 

I say buy it, the price difference isn't big and you're leaving yourself open to the option of going 1440p 144hz

 

True or you can game at 1080p with 3060ti it will easily handle even raytracing.

 

It s good if he gets 1440p, but 1080p bottleneck no.matter what..
