Oh, it's not very far at all. Around 4km each way or so.
The Australian rugby team
People who walk 0.2km an hour in shopping malls, but there is enough of them to take up the entire aisle and leave no room for you to pass.
South African Taxi drivers
Seeing a PS3 in a store, and knowing that no matter what, i cant afford the Fookin thing.
Final Fantasy haters
People who say stuff like 'Can you borrow me some money?'
It's 'Lend me' dumb ass.
Using language like that grinds my gears.
Revising for exams is pissing me off at the moment!:bang:
Oh God yes, I agree. I have formulas coming out of my damn ears right now. Just make it stop!
Things that grind my fluffy gears.
- Noisy kids throwing stuff on my balcony
- Too much graphics cards, why not try to focus more on one generation and do more optimizations for generic cards, money money...
- Alcoholic parents
- Wire clutter
- Script kiddies
- myspace, irc-gallery
- animal abuse
- Immaterial rights being so stupid
When people use 'then' instead of 'than', trivial i know but its moronic and i see it everywhere!' When people talk to me and use it wrongly i go along with the 'then' in the proper context, confuses the crap outa some folk!
Then theres games and demos that load up and cant be minimised and/or fail to load properly so theres no way of getting back to the desktop, the only solution is a reset
Yeah...somebody did that on our driveway as well....we got that car towed after an hour...I mean there's enough space for three cars next to each other, but you just can't park in someone's driveway...
I know what you're talking about...makes you want to explore sometimes...
I usually just shut up and try to set my mind to standby, though...makes 'em happy...
Oh I know exactly what you're talking about...
English's not my mother tongue, but I think I am fairly good at it - so people who should be able to speak/write their native language should be able to at least spell words right, right? :bang:
Same problem: "should of"...
Well what grinds my gears:
People who are constantly complaining...I mean all the time (not like in this thread sometimes things just grind your gears...). No matter if it's just sitting in university for an hour and a half and complaining a hundred times how boring it is (fcking get up and leave then!!) or complaining about...I don't know...the looks of people passing by...
Why can't some people just shut up once in a while? I'm a very calm person and I have my thoughts about stuff as well, but there's no need to voice every little complaint about every little thing...
High Gas Prices
things that grind my gears
1. noise while sleeping or trying to sleep
2. smelly people or lack of hygiene
3. men who beat, rape or treat women like objects
4. people born with a grin such as Tom Cruise who grins 24/7 even in his sleep
i really hate this guy.
And with this recent heat im starting to lose concentration for it now.
Grinds my gears: Exams in the summer.
Hairy female genitalia
Oh, don't get me started on temperatures. My work room constantly hits 25c these days, and I can't turn off the computer to make it cooler as I use it while studying. I've moved my desk to the window now, but it's windy outside, so papers fly everywhere. I hate hate hate hate this time of year, all because of exams. Blergh.
can't you just buy a room fan or an air conditioner i mean you must have spent a fortune to cool your hardware yet you're not willing to spend on a simple room fan to cool yourself? if you're too lazy just take 3 120mm fans (6 for maximum benefit) glue them together then wire them and let them cool you off trust me it works or you can invest in one of these
I live in Norway, there's no way I'm gonna waste money on an AC You're right about the cooling fan though. I have one but it's broken, but if this weather continues, I'm gonna buy a new one!
There was exactly the same picture in my old upper secondary school English book. :grad:
good choice mate at least you can move the fan wherever you want, hot weather sucks lol
anyway i guess we can go back on topic now? couple more things that grinds my gears
1. those who whine about a game being a console port even when it's good
2. vindictive people
3. remakes of successful movies for most of the time they are dump
2) TV adverts
3) Reality tv
5) Dog walkers
6) Binge drinkers
to name but a few
This really "grinds my gears."
I can't think of enough adjectives to describe how much I despise that idiot.
