What ever happened to........

    What ever happened to the availability of the GF 7800 GTX 512mb card? I thought it was supposed to be a hard launch in November with wide availability.

    Apparently its a special edition kind of release thing. Just a trick nVidia had up their sleeves so they could beat x1800xt when it was released. None of us were expecting it.

    I say no big deal. 7900GTX will be out shortly...

    If you live in Canada, the very expensive Asus can be found here... (last week they had some eVGA for $899)

    Kind of makes you wonder if the GF7900 will be a phantom launch too.

    why? 1 product not kept in good supply

    also, if you were quick to purchase one you have one right now, because they were available at launch, so techinically it was a hard launch

    7900 will be in March, so i dont know what your thoughts of "soon" are

    X1900 end of January or early February

    Alot of gurus have 512's... hell, Mike has 2 of them! (grumble grumble)

    Well, maybe not alot, but enough that you see them around every day.
