    Hi there

I'm wanting to put together a cheap and cheerful gaming machine(mostly gaming) I've not paid much attention for a couple of years.

    would this work ok together?

    Ryzen 1600 with stock fan
    Asus prime b350-plus
    Corsair vengeance 16gb 3200hz 16-18-18-36
Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 250 GB (for os and fav game)

I'll pilfer other bits from my present system.. I'm assuming psu is ok, its probably around 780w. I have a gtx 970.

    gaming at 1920x1080

    Any advice gratefully received

on the general line, the build is solid.
Now, as it is a gaming computer, what PSU, what brand, specs? How old is the PSU?

thanks for your input, i'm surprised to find i had put in a coolermaster g550w psU.

I would probably do a little overclocking, nothing extreme mind you.. are the ram timings/speed ok?

My advice is that the PSU is the single most important component in any PC build, because if it fails it can easily cook the rest of your system.

If its old or youre unsure of it, get a new high quality PSU like a Seasonic.

Yours is made by Enhance and is probs ok but be careful if its old, and if youre budget limited and cant get a UPS, at least get a decent surge suppressor.
