What causes this error? Is it the gfx card? the monitor or the game?

When i take a screenshot it comes out as normal, only thing that fixes it is a pc restart. I have had it a couple of times whilst playing csgo and 3 or 4 times whilst playing bf4. They are the only times.

had to take photo with my phone, basically my screen has been pushed over

Oh man that looks like something from the old CRT tv days, had a knob u could wiggle to get the screen centered lol.

Unstable vram. Quite a common problem with AMD 6xxx cards.

Vram would cause that? Id say something more related the screen and in game resolution miss match, probably wrong aspect ratio set in settings or on the config if u been fiddling with that.

I think I had that happen once, quite a while back. It wasn't on any of the games you mentioned though.

Have you tried a different monitor cable?

What version of the drivers are you running?

What refresh rate are you running?

Have you tried a different monitor? Could possibly be something with the horizontal centering on the monitor itself.

It's unstable vram. Happens on certain cards using GDDR5.

Pill is right, look through split screen threads of 6950/70 it has it quite often when vram OCed. In time vram may do it even without OC.

So its a borked card then? Everything is running at stock. Only happens once in a blue moon, just annoying.

Running 1920 1080, my lead is a bit temperamental, needs a wiggle. Ill buy a new lead before I do anything extreme.

Increase of voltage/reduction of clocks. 1st is better, 2nd is easier.
