I've got my evga to 620/2000 stable as a horse.

I can get through one pass of 3d mark 06 at 640/2000 but not stable. Stock cooler, stock fan settings etc, o/cing through bios flash.

Score in 3dmark 06 is 9133 or something to that effect, what are you guys getting?

    I got a damaged card.

Be careful, just because your temps are good doesn't mean you won't waste a GTS by overclocking it.

Keep overclocking yours and you will see what I mean.

Damage caused by OC is not covered tho -- "Overclocking our products does not void the warranty as long as there is no physical damage to the product or missing components."

And why would anyone say how they destroyed thier card (not lie, if you've been overclocking)? My last card, an ATI x1800xt was destroyed from overheating from a third party cooling system that i had installed on it (wasnt attached correctly)... they never noticed i had removed and reattached their original parts / original cooling paste etc, got a new card in like 3 weeks :D the hardest part was to get the cooling paste to look like the original one, the one i had at home was very dark so i had to use some regular white paint in it to match theirs lol

i have mine running at 624/1024 rock steady. my temps are pretty high with it running at 75c idle and 95c full load. i am not have a single problem with ocing so for now i am running it at this.

i am not going to put my waterblock on it until my 90 day trade up time is up in may, just incase something better comes out in that time.

I agree, I was able to get 650/1050 out of the box, 52c idle 81c after an hour of ATI Tool. Played around with it for 2 days and now can get no more than 630/975 before it starts showing artifacts :(

95is way too high even for a 8800 imo. my card even clocked at 660, 1040 still only hits 56 from being idle at 48. just be carefull the core may be able to cope with that heat but ive heard of memory going out fast on these cards probably from heat.

i thought it was pretty high too. the trouble is it runs the same temps under stock so maybe it is a faulty temp prob.

Yes your are correct. Even though I wasted my eVGA GTS by OCing, eVGA still exchanged it for me no questions asked.

It was still a pain in the Arse without a card for a couple weeks.
    A hassle you know.

Thats kind of how the trouble started with mine and it got worse.
I'm not saying that IF you OC the GTS you WILL damage it. I'm just saying it happened to me and a few others on Guru with the same card.

Some of it's just luck. I was running mine at 625/985 for about two weeks before I noticed trouble. Then it was too late because even going back to stock speeds I was still getting artifacts in my games. ( no, it wasn't my drivers. )

Funny thing is that with that overclock my card was running very cool, which is why I stuck with the OC. Just because it's cool don't mean crap. It can still be wasted with OCing.

i'm not worried about o/cing, if it blows up, it blows up.

Gotta squeeze out all those fps.

I am curious if people with 11k+ on 3dmark06 are running SLI or single cards though...

eerrrrr not sure if anyone else noticed but if thats a real quote it clearly states that OC does NOT void the warranty :p

I get 640/900 out of mine, but i think ive got some power issues stopping me from getting higher. Will be OC'ing tonight with the new rig to see what i can get out of it.

    :D
