i only play AoC casually since it doesnt run on any of my friends computers, so i dont play that often. i just noticed there are much fewer glitches that could easilly be seen from using 177.66 (mainly the objects sticking out of characters, trees flickering, and terrible shadow messes that look like flowers instead of people)

if i knew where to go to see the Villas i would test it! which zone is that in? ;D

Mate, Vista is the only OS that will support Quad SLI.... :)

    Quote Nvidia.com
Note:Quad SLI technology with GeForce 9800 GX2, 3-way SLI technology, and Hybrid SLI technology are only supported on Windows Vista.

Edit: Sorry just looked at your profile after I posted, and you have Vista64! I thought 177.70 was for XP32 only...
    Disregard my post

177.73's realeased and guess what.... another set of 177's that perform great at my end. Grid a few fps faster and all my other games as smooth as they ever were.

I managed to work around it and 177.35,177.39 & 177.41 drivers did support the quad sli. However in AoC no matter what the fps doesnt improve from having a single 9800gx2 working. We wait and see then...

for me there is no significant change from 177.70 to 177.73

all my games run exactly the same with the same image quality (give or take the small frame variance of 1-3 fps)

tested on CoD4, AoC, DMC4, WC3, WoW, Crysis, Bioshock

still better than 177.66 by far (less bugs and graphical errors)

BUT NOW 177.79 is out and it is a whql release candidate.

i'll try this driver later this week probably

i lost performance with cod 4(its normally 90-92 but with new drivers 89-91) and it didnt solve my BSOD when i press ctrl, alt, delete in game

1-2% fps increase/drop is normal fluxuation between test runs. its kinda hard to say a driver performs better or worse with that small margin...

if you're seeing 2%+ changes in averages over multiple test runs, then the driver most likely is performing differently

I got to higher clocks with the 177.79's. Keep rolling the great set of drivers out nvidia!

With the 177.35 drivers from Guru3d I have managed to overcome all the problems and now have smooth and fast gameplay in every game I have tested.
AoC,COD4,DMC4,Bioshock,Lost planet.Again with the 177.7x series had no luck.

First, let me say I really like 177.79 Driver with the PhysX 8.0.7 Build.

This greatly improves the speed of many of my games, including Crysis. It is almost identical to the quality I got from using 177.70 driver.

    However...

I'm having glitches with this 177.79 Beta driver from Nvidias website. My problem happens in Age of Conan and this did not happen in 177.70 version of the driver. The water has no edge to the top of it and when it reaches the beach, it bleeds and turns blocky.

So if you mainly play Age of Conan, stick with 177.70 Driver for now until the official release of Nvidias driver comes out on the 12th of this month.
