What anti-spyware are you using?

    No anti-spyware. for Anti-Virus I use Windows Security Essential.

    Antispyware/Antivirus is for n00bs. ;)


    At work we use McAfee & Antivir for Antivirus. For Antispyware/Malware we use Malwarebytes + Hijack This! + CCleaner which is a pretty winning combination if you're very familiar with the ins and outs of the OS.

    Actually tbh - Spysweeper was what I used when I ran anti-spyware. It is really and is light on resources as well....

    Exactly the same as me, never had any troubles with it at all. Also I disable Windows Defender from running in the background I just run it every now and then to check. But Avast is awesome, picks up things before they even get chance to write to your drive. And their web shield is awesome too one of the best I have ever used. Though I disable Avast when gaming though as it has been known to occasionally eat a few clock cycles even though it is only meant to use idle clock cycles.

    Microsoft Security Essentials, was also using avast! for awhile but it blocked access to some sites (megagames) I use.
