Wednesday my wife got fired at her work. She was fired on the base because she is autistic. Yesterday then, we were coming back from the doctor, and all of a sudden, someone rammed our car from behind. Our car is totalled, no change of fixing it. My wife sustained a injury, probably mild whiplash. So, now, we have to look for another car.
Bad luck, that sucks, but on the bright side, the car accident could be a blessing, whiplash = compensation = helps while she looks for another job Sounds like a case of unfair dismissal being sacked because of a disability though, unless she failed to say in the interview/application that she was autistic
Sorry to hear that.I don't know you,and it is so cliché but i tell you anyway. I am sorry to hear that.Makes me humble and lower my head in shame thinking that i had a bad day,my problems are not problems anymore. Maybe i need this, keep me in sanity line about what is really important. Good luck, fellow guru!
There was no negative comment about her work, they were very satisfied. Her boss stated she was taking up too mich of his time and that she had to be treated in other way then regular people. Her boss knew she is autistic and they had government compensation for it.
That's the easiest discrimination case ever. In America anyway. You could sue that company and get that manager fired (and a nice settlement at the very least) with no problems. Can't speak for the laws in France though.
Actually, I live in Belgium, and yes there are laws protecting the interests of workers. Our union is investigating the matter and are starting up a procedure to get my wife back at the company.
IcE is right. In America this would have been a BIG FAT lawsuit. Every country should be like this. People have rights too, not only the corporations.
Update: No word yet from te union, guess the're still busy. We got a new car, same model, 4 doors. 1.5 Dci Diesel engine. Cars is 4.5 years old. Tommorw, my wife has to go to the clinic for at CT and RX scan. Results are expected thuesday evening. Fingers crossed it's nothing major.
My current girlfriend is autistic and wants to become a systemadmin for some Linux/UNIX thing. I worry this might happen to her.
I'm finding more days that are seemingly ****ed up are more real to me. 9/10 days are abnormal and generally ****ed lol.
Godspeed recovery to her! BTW, I have being doing some researches because of my father mental conditions and discovered that gluten is a slow poison! w w w. d ailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-2585209/Gluten-Should-giving-up.html
Everything is a poison these days..... @OP - sorry man. Sometimes it feels like the world is just out to get us. Don't worry, eventually the world will figure out that it's neglecting someone else and stop beating the crap out of you.
So we went to the docter yesterday evening for the results of the scans. No hernia's, no fractures or ruptures. However, slight wear in her lower back. The pain right now is coming from het muscles, wich are under stress. Massage should help, so I made an appointement right away with our therapist.
Our new car is almost in order, going past customs today. Should be able to pick it up next week, since we need to wait for an European license plate.
License plate has arrived Friday. The old wreck has been payed for by a buyer of wrecks. Tommorow we are going to pay the rest of the money, and then off back home to celibrate.
