For quite some time now I have been getting horizontal lines on my screen when using YouTube, Either on Chrome or Edge. On Windows 10 and 11. I just done a fresh install of W11 and it still happens. Pics here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ESn7J467AzHrzftZ8 Its a little hard to see in the images but one has these lines, almost like looking at an interlaced display vs progressive. Only happens on YT. Amazon or netfix are fine. Any ideas on whats going on? It's been driving me nuts.
I guess you went through cable connection / different cable etc. and all of that before reinstalling OS?
I don't see how that would help? Display Port is s digital signal. It either works or it don't. There is no in between. If there was some intermittent interference on the cable then the screen would just go off and not show these lines.
Disable HARDWARE ACCELERATION in chrome's setting ...and check if this issue persist TRY: Type in URL bar chrome://flags Go to GPU rasterization (currently default). Set to Disabled or 4.Click on "Reset all to default" at the top near to "search flags"
A faulty cable connection due to not fully plugged in or an old, multiple times folded cable, especially with Display Port, can be an issue if the insulation's faulty. Just a thought, if you had a different cable at hand.
I thought that this was fixed with Caesar's suggestion but its not... And it turns out its something to do with HDR. I have had HDR on again the past few days and the lines have come back.
