Happens to me sometimes during driver installation, but after a restart of windows, it's fine.

Seems like 3xx series is free of this bug as i also haven't seen that on my pc, windows 10 1903, i'm installing every driver update and haven't happened to me even once.

Yep, in VEGA happens the same at random.
Unplugging and plugin the HDMI cable fixes it for me.

    1. Uninstall drivers using DDU or AMD clean Utility
    2. Restart Windows and manually delete AMD folder from c:/
    3. Reinstall drivers
    --------------------------------------
Normally this happens with the Dell display manager program
(if you have one, uninstall it))

Had a bug like this with my HTPC at times, 2400G. Not sure what I did to fix it but updated drivers iirc.

With gcn 1.0 started with elevated memory clocks and lasted very long time, situation is almost the same now with RX 500 cards. As soon as driver got installed colors are ~inverted and memory clocks sky high.

    Reset monitor to default settings
    reset desktop refresh rate.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Uninstall all drivers for this monitor and check.....

Never happened here on Vega. Monitor connected via DP.

    Maybe it's isolated to HDMI

//EDIT: Nevermind. I have the same monitor as EyesBlue1988 but as I said, I never saw this issue.

My monitor is at default settings and default refresh rate. I thought that I was doing something wrong that even reinstalled Windows and same thing happens again. MS did not put 17.1.1 driver in their WU for no reason, that's the only driver that works.

My AOC is on DP also...

Well, that's really weird. With EyesBlue1988, we have almost identical setup (card, monitor connected via DP, OS, driver), but I never saw screen like that during any driver installation.

Yes, it's been like that since around early April with 1903 and my RX480 connected via DVI>HDMI or DVI>DVI (monitor>gpu). At least 19.4.x and all later drivers are affected.
It'll go away if you reboot, replug monitor cable, use CRU to restart driver, or ctr+shift+win+b (same).
You should also get these weird colors just for an instant right at log in.
The best you can do is submit a report to amd, if everyone does it, probably they'll end up doing something about it.

Vega 64+C32HG70 connected with DP, Win 10 1903. It happens always after driver installation and sometimes during windows boot at login screen for a second. Clean windows installation and happens again. But it's not a big deal

For me sometimes it happens on install, sometimes it doesn't. RX 570 here. More often than not it does, but I'll occasionally have an installation that doesn't do it. I'll also have occasional issues with waking the monitor up. I'll sometimes get the tv snow effect, or the bottom left and/or bottom middle of my screen will produce a shadow. Turning off and on the monitor will fix things. The color and the snow are driver issues, I don't know about the shadows though.
