Watch_Dogs - General moding

    I'm using relaunch values, so it's really fast, like in the ps4 premiere.

    Also, last time I used that colourremap thing was when it was brand new to us and there was still a lot of things that had to be disabled, I looked back and saw that those issues were fixed.

    Maybe because the colourgrading was different

    It's not fast in PS4 premiere, it's actually very slow. It's very fast in vanilla. It's not that noticeable in the demo because the difference between Min exposure and Max exposure is very small unlike vanilla where it's very big (Min -0.5 Max 2.5).

    It's noticeable in PS4 premiere video at 3:18, look at the shadow from L-Train tracks: as Aiden gets closer to it the shadow slowly gets brighter.

    For some reason WD keeps crashing for me after about 30 minutes of gameplay, does anyone know a possible reason?

    The game also seems to be loading wrong materials for NPC's

    Gotta say, whole camera angle looks really good, the depth of field looks really strong. I think if it were lighter it'd be pretty great. Also, are you planning on including the running animations from the PS4 premier build as well? If you do, I might suggest working on the mod for it a little bit, it's kinda bugged when turning left and right.

    PS4 Premiere sprint anim is broken, the sounds don't loop correctly, and the animations don't either.

    The broken loop is caused by pure laziness in the dev team (it was even broken when the PS4 premiere trailer came out), since the demo was on rails, they only needed a few frames of animation for those animations.

    That screen by the way was an experimental build of the mashup mod (which is too broken to release), with the E3 2012 settings (all of them besides windy_city.game.xml, which uses relaunch settings since E3 settings in windy_city.game.xml breaks everything), and a green filter to match the 2012 trailer.

    By breaking everything I mean this:

    The E3 cam thing was a bug by the way, can't seem to replicate it...

    MASHUP mod 2 will be using the E3 2013 sprint, which has complete animations which aren't buggy, and is also close to the premiere trailers sprint anim too.



    By the way, I got flyerguy to load in zmodeler 3, he the exact same as com_m_hea_cau_03.xbg, just lower poly, here's a comparison:

    Ah, I see. I know the mod was broken, I figured that was because I assumed it was a fan recreation, and not actual files. What makes me most curious is why the development team would just scrap it entirely and make while new animations when they could just patch it up a bit. Ah well, thanks for the constant updates on the mod, Crasher.

    When you edit graphickit_parts, and pack it; it corrupts some of the files, so instead of spawning regular npcs, it spawns corrupted npcs, which causes the game to become very unstable (and eventually crash at random).

    So I just used vanilla graphickit_parts and edited graphickit_models instead, which doesn't corrupt when you pack it.

    I'm using my edited graphickit_parts since 2015 and I've never had corrupted things or random crashes, so I don't think that what you said is the rule, I guess you were just unlucky. :O Anyway I'm glad you managed to fix your problem. :)

    The relaunch build was the build used for the ps4 premiere, it's basically as far as we can go without the games lighting to break completely.

    Yeah, the PS4 premiere is still pretty high above vanilla. I wonder if there would be a way to fix the broken lighting from the E3 demo somehow. It would probably take a lot of work though (especially considering the engine downgrade Crasher spoke of earlier in the thread).
