Yes change it. It makes aiden move separate from the camera. Which causes some weird controls.
That is the lighting. V2.7 was directed toward recreating 2013 lighting. V2.8 will reintroduce e3 lighting and have 2013 lighting too. Due to issues with the lighting I have not released v2.8. I am close to getting it right but just not yet!
Did you just say that you try to get the lighting as close to the E3 2012 Demo as possible now?
thanks a lot man
good luck with your worck
Yeah, i want this to be as good as possible, here are just a couple shots of progress. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/37494331978616318/1D639C01C205C94455EA21714135499607EF5D4F/
What do you think?
really good job
but i think in 2013 demo it is still more More colorful and cooler
and in 2012 in the day light it is cooler and in the night the bloom is much and the shader is not too high
i tried to do some thing but i have on idea how to do that
i do not know how to edit and what to edit
just try to Decrease the Brown color
That's amazing, man. It really looks like E3 lighting.
The only problem is, probably Watch Dogs never will has the exact same look like in the E3 2012 showcased Demo. Why? Simply, because it was based on the Havok engine back then, whereas the retail version is based on the ''Disrupt'' engine...I just assume, it's not possible to recreate these exact same lighting, these cold feeling, and the sun-set scene at the beginning is generally darker and more bluish. It's kinda a completely different look (Needless to say the unmoded version, the moded one is much more closer tho' )
Dont be confused by the language... It doesnt matter I think.
uhhhhh, i hope you know havok is a physics engine...
it was always disrupt, but we have a downgraded version of it
similar to how dunia II in FC4 looks far better than in FC3-Its an upgraded version fo the same engine.
EDIT: also the sun is only different as ubisoft changed its position.
Havok Physics is a physics engine not a game engine. It is what watchdogs
is using currently. Before it is very likely that they used Physx which would
explain why the cloth doesnt move and react to wind as realistically anymore.
Probably using Apex Physx for the cloth
Edit: **** sorry didnt see that other post
I managed to find a clean version of the music used in the Ps4 reveal trailer, I don't exactly know what I can use this for, but I have some ideas for replacing the crime in progress music and the wanted/heat music with it.
If anyone is interested in checking it out here is a link:
My converted version:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/un0dwk4xuvdgpl3/Ubisoft - Watch_Dogs Ps4 reveal music.mp3?dl=0
The video I found it from:
(The music cuts around the middle of it and stars a longer, more complete version)
Guys, tell me what you think of this: http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/37494331980643485/8520253ABCA9AD673DA43FEE0AF2D4A51A99B91B/
I think i finally got it right.
you are the man .... that is what am talking about ....
yeb it is the best
Oh...so sorry for the wrong information then...I guessed havok is the engine disrupt is based on. Anyways when you're rummaging yourself through all these files, you often come across with any files having the addition E3. Doesnt matter where...that's kinda disgusting...especially when it was disabled on purpose.
Looks better but is much brighter than e3 in my opinion. The glass is still opaque with no reflections. The build has no changes. Thanks for you effort.
Yes...it's really a bit brighter...and it might additionally be influenced because the Ps4 reveal had much more mist, steam and so on, and was a bit more blurred in my opinion.
its not really possible to remake E3 lighting, they used global illumination wich they either completely dropped or heavily toned it down , the vanilla release seems to use pre calculated lighting, wich look really fake compared to E3 no matter how you tweak it
I know it is not possible to get e3 lighting. Obviously, but i can at least get it very similar. What do you guys expect? this is really hard to do and quite frustrating too.
At least let me try to get it similar.
When you talk about global illumination, is it this kind of thing ?
Hey just leave thatguy of out this he s done great job hasn't he? Editing lighting is a definely a frustrating thing to do you guy should know better than that. the game dosent look anything like e3 and only ubisoft is to blame for this.
