Hmmm, Microsoft guy talks at AMD. Very curious to see if he ends up doing the same at Nvidia. Pluton chip in an AMD CPU "to help you achieve more". As in, what? What do you achieve more?
The moment Lisa start talking about "the new normal" had to turn it off. Any proponent of the "new normal" should be boycotted to bankrupsy. Is no different than talking about the slavery of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and a more restrictive life than we one we live in many countries since early 2020.
This presentation is so awkward. btw Nvidia also has something going on, not sure what though https://www.twitch.tv/nvidia
Well, at least Lewis and Toto were in there. Primarily Mobile APU announcements only. Nothing Radeon / Ryzen desktop related.
No mid and low tier desktop gpus announced at all. Nvidia wins by default today. People will pre-order tons of 3060s until Lisa wakes up at late February.
Not much shakin' for ordinary consumers in this address. With respect, Dr. Su, but what does it matter if RDNA2 has twice the performance of an RX 5700 XT, if, at the same time, it has 2x less availability? Please provide the vast, unwashed masses with something to purchase.
Maybe unrelated, but that to my mind is somehow similar with the corny joke when the unpopular guy comes to his pals to brag about getting a wifey and his pals said: Very good, it was time to have our wife. Bring her over. You will not achieve more, they will. The only achievement is hardware platform under total control of one corporation and the user is a mere owner on paper, not the actual owner, not to say administration with real control over hardware. My stupid 2 cents...
1. If there is reasonable stock of them. 2. It's late Febr, which means that at the start, there will be stocks like in the case of other 30xx cards. Than at the upcoming months, maybe there will be some stock somewhere for minutes. And as Undying said, that AMD graph showed lower tier cards are coming in H12021, including (?) a smaller (the smallest) RX 5600.
