Game indeed does look like original that came out 2007 only with 10 times more hardware req. Silly MS, what a mess lol.

Instead of taking a UE4 and making it from the scratch, making it a real ultimate edition they put up this crap. Fck it, im not getting anywhere near this.

And I do believe you're trying to say Nvidia made them not test on AMD cards, or did I get you wrong there?

    You get me wrong. :)

What i'm tryng to say is Nvidia GameBreaks is not the culprit here.

I think game dev was lazy and only focused (if?!¿) on 75-80% target consumers with dedicated GPUs.

Or Dygaza is right and they didn't betatest at all.

    :D

That's what I thought too. Because I couldn't find indication that GoW is running gameworks, so I would have been surprised it that would be the reason for AMD to run through such troubles / bugs. And also, CPCreddawn has problems with Gsync in it, so I guess not everything's running well for Nvidia either ;)

No it isn't capped at 60fps

and 100% a 980Ti can max this game out NO problems.

Here is MY own personal benchmark with all settings maxed out @ 1080p the benchmark seems to just loop itself over and over and never stops until you stop it your self. The framerate in parts went as high as 143fps and 120fps avg

Good to know this game run fine on Nvidia cards.

Bad it's on Windows store, run like a crap on AMD an don't support multicard.

    No Steam, no fun.

Yes just DONT RUN IT WITH GSYNC enabled!!!!

It runs like 1fps with GSYNC turned on to fullscreen or even windowed.

    See my other thread here.

Thanks for the post, it was an enjoyable read.

Developers these days, absolutely laughable. Incompetent, incapable children.

Not just in the computer industry either, it's happening everywhere.

I've got the original PC release of Gears of War here and I was thinking about getting the DX12 re-release and do a comparison but, I guess I don't need to now.

It is actually capped. All dx12 games are capped at 60fps even though it can report higher fps.

DX12 games seem to work differently regarding monitor synchronization.

It's capped to the monitor refresh rate, if I understood correctly.

    .
On WStore - actually - applications you are tied to the screen refresh rate, extra frames are discarded.
On fullscreen (which is a border-less maximized window for WStore applications), the game can process up to vSync * (N-2) or vSync * (n-1) frames (where N is the number of frame buffers setted by the application) respectively for dFlip and iFlip modes, this mean developers can choose to balance between input or graphics latency.
On windowed scenarios you are tied to DWM. This is not so much different from WStore applications running on Windows 8 and 8.1.

By the way, running on 60Hz screen the miniEngine sample of Microsoft:
