    The product is

CORSAIR 60GB NOVA 2 SERISI SATA 2.0 SSD

not sure if it even compatible or not..hmm...so..i want to play some games at fast loading times etc...will SSD give me a boost. according to internet ye, in some situations.

well that SSD isnt so expensive so i want to upgrade my PS3..and is it a hard work to do that?

    i don't see why it shouldn't work.
speed wise ,loading times should improve big time!
go ahead,if anything goes wrong ,you can send the ssd to my house ...:)

    lol :)...

is there a limitation on PS3..like it wont read sata 3.0 SSDS? and as i see SATA 3 SSDS r fast reading and writing..but if PS3 is only SATA 2 so those readings will not be that fast yes?

and at double prize there iğs this

    CORSAIR 120GB FORCE 3 SERISI SATA 3.0 SSD (550MB READ/ 510MB WRITE )

    and my first option was

    CORSAIR 60GB NOVA 2 SERISI SATA 2.0 SSD (270MB READ / 240MB WRITE)

as far as i know there is a limitation
not all 2.5 hdds will work in a PS3..i remember someone put a list with all versions and their serial number/firmware ..
    about sata3...dunno

Well I mean if your going to go SSD at least get something bigger than 60GB. I don't think it would make any difference if it was a SATA3 but of course it will run at SATA2 speeds. So you can probably save a little cash buying a SATA2 SSD.

you wont see any diference at all load times will be the same.
the ps3 hardware is capped or least thats what i read last time.

so putting in a ssd is waste of money.
just get your self a nice big 5400 rpm hard drive if you haven't already :)

Your not going to see such a big diffrence in speed seeing as the PS3 has a sata 1 controller which has speeds of 150mb/s........As Zer0K3wL said you would be better off bang for your buck wise with a normal 5200 rpm HDD.....you could probably get a big 500mb for less than that 60 gig SSD is going for.

Yeah, not worth it really. Be better off getting a bigger hard drive for it instead of an SSD

lmao @ the comments.....back in the day i took out the 5400rpm hard drive that was in the ps3 and put in a 7200rpm and it was a big difference on load times and installing demos from the hdd so i could just imagine how much better a ssd would do...

Cost vs capacity vs speed increase = not worth out outlay.

But if you got money burning a hole in your pocket and want to shave 10/20 seconds of some game loads then by all means knock yourself out. ;)

PS2 is sata 2 u can still install sata 3 but not get the full sata 3 benefits

Just a test 2 Same PS3's one with 5400 and one with 7200 the load time in Demons Souls was halved... and some games are no dif while others it makes a dif

it does make a difference, but not on all games i imagine. When GT5 still has those long load times (still has now, but it's much shorter) lots of people upgraded to SSD and got their load times practically halved.

I've seen benchmarks of this done, and the SSD was almost no quicker at all.

A cheap solution to a hard drive?

There are none, we're still in post thailand flooding price areas, paying up to double of what a hard drive was worth 6 months ago.

As mentioned already, apart from reducing noise / heat, the loading times are almost the same, I believe in some instances when installing games download from the PSN Store there may be slightly better improvements, but the general game loading improvements are tiny, but you can see for yourself with a quick youtube search there are tons of video's out there showing the difference.
