Hey guys, I've heard about ppl who have somehow transferred the pc's ability to boot to a USB flash stick. To be more specific, I mean that the pc will NOT boot unless the usb drive is inserted into the pc at startup. Im using Windows 8.1.
To the best of my knowledge windows and its files are still on the pc, the boot priorities are just transferred to the usb stick and the pc will not boot without that stick inserted. As least that's what Ive heard from a few ppl. It may not even be correct! If it was, i was thinking about using it as a security measure for my pc. I have roommates who just walk in and use my system, I like the idea of this without having to setup passwords that could be guessed, I could just keep the usb stick with me!
Is this actually a thing? And if so, is there a tutorial somewhere to set it up?? Thanks guys!

You probably installed Windows while the flash drive was inserted, afaik it's a bug...

Are you using UEFI or BIOS? Knowing that will help out a lot.

By the way, you might be able to resolve this with the following steps:
    1. Boot from the Windows install media.
    2. Press SHIFT+F10 to bring up the Command Prompt.
    3. Run the following command:
    Code:
    C:\Windows\System32\bcdboot C:\Windows
