    Alright thanks.

I'm still very skeptical of these speakers.

Can you guarantee me that it's worth buying these speakers?

270 euro include shipping is alot of money, or else i'll just get another 670 for my rig.

Tell me some other options? What I mean is that I don't know the stores or available speakers in your country/region. If you can give me a link to the store you're purchsing from, then I can sort the best ones :)

    regards,
    RagDoll.

Yeah 300 is really going over my budget, i have a bunch of bills to pay or i'll get in trouble with having to pay even more if i get behind.

But isn't it better to get a complete new set? The taga 5 set has bigger rear speaker and center.

Nope, what some don't realize is that if your fronts and sub are very good, the rears don't need to be that great to still achieve brilliant sound. The center is fine if it can at the least go down to 120hz because of dialogue. The center speaker doesn't contain most of the audio like some people believe, it's the fronts that handle the music, special effects and other audio in movies. The only thing in a center that you need is to go loud enough, not so much the lower frequency because voices start at around 130hz... Rears/surround play a small part in movies/5.1

    cheers,

Sorry, I couldn't read it in dutch :( The Taga package seems ok, but if you stumble across some others, just fronts/floorstanders that go down to atleast 35hz, they might be better :)

Well, I know the brand Dali is high end :) However, the Taga go 1hz lower and they do seem like quality speakers...

    Taga :)

    cheers,

Are you going to try and audition any of these? (sorry if already mentioned but I didn't want to read all the pages in the thread) You absolutely can't tell what speaker you prefer based on technical specifications. Not only can manufacturers specs be completely inaccurate, but basic frequency response, sensitivity, and power handling data does nothing to tell you how they will actually sound.

Partly true, but the what would be the reason to provide any specifications at all if they weren't close to being accurate? Specs are to get a ball park idea of how speakers will sound, that is a fact...

I just had a look through a number of the links and none of the frequency response charts show to how many dB the response is flat too. Without knowing that the frequency response itself is meaningless. I can say hey this speaker has a freq response of 10Hz to 20KHz, but if the response is -15db at 10Hz then it is going to be inaudible against the rest of the sound the speaker makes. It isn't technically lying, but it is incredibly misleading. Hence, those stats, particularly on online retail websites are worthless.

A helpful stat would be something like 40Hz-20KHz +/-1dB which would tell you that the speaker is essentially flat to 1dB between those 2 frequencies.

    http://www.dali-speakers.com/en-US/Loudspeakers-1/ZENSOR-5.aspx :)

Although not the best, they have this info +/-3db :)
