Wanna upgrade AMD 965 pII X4 CPU to FX Vishera need advice.

^please do only physics score in 3dmark11 (sorry if it is a big hassel for u. ).
But, i need to know it badly.

@ Kohlendioxidus Man can u help me please as i am not able to overclock my FX 8350 cpu with fsb overclock as I have got 1600 mhz ram with all 4 ram slots occupied. But I can OC cpu with cpu ratio and turbo core ratio but stuck with FSB overclock with only 5% overclock. Is my RAM becoming bottleneck or my mobo bios?

After seeing the result removed windows 8 and installed windows 7.

These results with no FX patch applied in win 7, will do bench again with FX patch applied.

 

^why in windows8 , u get low physics score?

Maybe my fx 8350 didnt like metro Ui and ugliness of tablet sh*t. And with FX patch applied same score but cpu runs cool.

 

3dmark 11 physics test must be poorly coded, i get just over 7800 but your chip should be ahead of mine in multithreaded benchmarks. Tried vantage?

Not on my 8350 yet. I had mine up to 2800 with my fx6100 with minimal voltage. But I wasn't comfortable with it that high. I'll be tweaking this system for quite a while before I'm happy with my speeds. But keep on posting your findings, it's a real help so far.

I hope i can upgrade next year, probably gonna wait when they release another new set of CPU's.

Only game that is strugling on my setup is FC3, BF3 and others run beautifully smooth.

 

Typical upgrade time is may-july as new product launches the old one gets the prices drop. Always buy the cpu which ur budget allows.
