keepers :D ( just so you know i only decided to bench hl2 cause thats what i was lacking most. )

EDIT: Get These @ http://www.valancestudios.com/Drivers/?M=D , The Link Is In The Forum.

[EDIT - URL ALTERED BY ADMIN] - Please stop the constant site advertisements/plugs, this is not what this section is intended for. Link was changed to the driver downloads section. For those that care. .. that's actually an 80 MB download.

One last remark, these forum are about support for modified drivers, not a place to constantly promote your affiliated site.

nice increase on my Geforce fx 5900xt, these at stock speeds, it'll be nice to see what happens when I oc, note that i used the 3danalyzer technique to get Directx 9 on hl2.

    World of Warcraft Issues

I too have had isssues with the 70.xx - 71.xx series in WOW. Anytime you interact with an icon in the toolbar, you see little white lines and dots through it. Also, sometimes an enemy indicator has red lines displayed in the background. I think the 71.24 series has the best perfomance/IQ for WOW. Try going to video options when you log in. Disable the hardware cursor, return to game, then enable the hardware cursor. This will fix that toolbar bug until next time you play the game.

wow these drivers are nice, they also seem to improve image quality and remove a problem i had with the VXG 7.20's nv30 driver where if you increase antialising above 4x on halflife 2 or counterstrike source then the reflections turn purple.

Im not sure what that problem was caused by, no one else seems to have experience it though. so im not sure.

Anyways it increase performance on my PC.

    Resolution: 1280×1024
    Demo: Counter Strike Stress Test
Detail: All Settings Maxed, Full Reflection, high shader, all of it
    Antialising mode: 6x
    Filtering mode: Anisotropic 16X
    Hardware DirectX level: DirectX 8.1
    Heapsize: 256 MB
    Score = 59.98 fps

Daishi, I think you want the drivers section to be only accessible to registered users. I don't know if you already knew that, but if you go directly to valancestudios.com/Drivers/, you don't have to login.

Anyway great drivers - thx alot

why are you people using 16x Anisotropic filtering on a card that doesn't support it?

you do realise it defaults back to 0x AF

only the 6xxx's use AF 16x

obviously the ability to see 16x in the drivers is actually showing how premature these drivers are

as the driver is meant to detect the max AF available

    and people

AF is hardwired into the card

    its not driver dependable

actually the drivers only support 2x,4x,8x AF for FX cards if you notice all of thier benchmarks are done with a Source Engine benchmarkwhich has the option for 16x even if you have a card that doesnt support it

    ahhh

but no nVidiaguru.. a few drivers back there was an option for 16x on the FX series as well, turned out to be a bug for pre release 6xxx drivers though

but these people should know that running 16x on a benchmark program will default it to 0x

thats why thier scores are so high,

    anyways
