installed this driver, and 3dmark Timespy jumped nearly 100pts, but that is obviously within margin of error. FC5 just got a first time ever CTD, but im thinking its cause its cache folder had to regenerate after new driver install, so after replaying again, it hasent given me a CTD. About all i can write home about for now.... Anyone know or can figure out if these are newer then the 451.67's?

it tells you it hasn't got any of the fixes from 451.67 in them.

451.98 VK dev lacks VK_EXT_pipeline_creation_cache_control which is need for async compute shaders in some applications...
@ManuelG is that meant to be like that? The changelog on https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver does not state the removal of that extension.

It looks like you might be on 430.xx, not 451.98.

the extensions are present in the nvoglv dll's and the vulkan loader+json is api version 1.2.149

Would anybody mind giving me the rundown on these Vulkan drivers?

Someone on this thread already asked about their benefit, to which another user replied "CEMU". I assume most games still don't support Vulkan 1.2 and that's the only software running on that version of the API? Vulkan tends to always perform better on my system (3900X/2080 Ti), so I choose it whenever I have the option, hence my interest.

Also, what's this about a separate fork and fixes that may or may not be implemented? I saw a couple of angry users about this being a different version than before.

I downloaded 451.98 specifically to test this extension. It is not there. Download it yourself and test it.

    I already did.

It's both there in the nvogl64 file, and myself and 4 others (in the cemu discord) checked for its presence once installed.

You're not using 451.98, windows has done something behind your back and installed an older version.

The Problem is with GPU-Z reporting only Instance extensions.
    VK_EXT_pipeline_creation_cache_control is a Device extension.
You can check this using Gpu Caps Viewer.

WU loves to troll and force-install a weird 432.00 release even if 44x.xx or newer are already installed :shrugs:

    Nice!

Hmm but it might be a earlier 455.x driver branch thus missing some of the core fixes in the newer 456.38 and 456.55 drivers I suppose.
Interesting little extension there too, guessing something like game implementation would be needed or DXVK but DXVK adding a Windows10 only extension seems less likely. :D
