• New:
  • VK_EXT_attachment_feedback_loop_layout
  • Added support for chaining VkShaderModuleCreateInfo when creating compute and ray tracing pipelines
• Fixes:
  • Don't read pipeline state when it's not valid for the pipeline library stage
  • Fixed issue clearing 3D depth images where the end slice(s) weren't cleared completely
  • Fixed an issue where Vulkan applications would crash when running under Wayland

 

I've read that, not what I asked. Is it r516_87-3 or newer?

So it is even older than 516.79 - r516_56-6 and no fixes and optimizations for Spider-Man?

 

yes, optimizations are included, I'm playing spiderman here, it's great.

 

I wouldn't bet on that, new games usually run well enough also with older Nvidia drivers.

 

When you see r516_56-6 and r516_10-17, it means 2 separate branches worked on in parallel. Either one could be newer (but yea one might have the fixes you want, and the other may not)

 

Definitely giving these a try when I get a chance. Been playing Spider-Man Remastered with 516.94.

Excellent driver. Works well in all my games

 

Works well so far on my system. Good timespy and firestrike scores, runs Skyrim VR very well (custom FUS mod list) at 3200x31xx o my 3090fe.

Funny how nobody posts anything about Vulkan applications in a thread about a Vulkan developer driver.
Well, but this and at least the last one finally have increased performance for me with Ampere, but of course only with Vulkan. Assassin's Creed Odyssey DXVK is now 82fps -> 85fps in benchmark vs. 78fps D3D11, Strange Brigade main menu went up to 150 from 146.

 

Unfortunately, this version also has sound over HDMI bug where sound is lost or distorted.

 

the high bandwidth bug isn't it?

 

There is a high bandwidth bug? Is this more noticeable at 4k120hz? I usually do 4k100hz, and haven't had an issue (other than dolby atmos), so i am just wondering.

 

No idea, I'm running 1440P 144Hz, 8 bpc.

 

Ok, it's not driver fault, I will try to uninstall latest AMD chipset driver.
