I am Windows developer and thus "VS" for me stands only as "Visual Studio". Which is my favorite app ever.

Would the US Department of Energy have saved energy going with EPYC?

Good but will it find the cure for cancer? A families disrupting disease. Oh wait that is not a top priority!
About not using AMD's EPYC: they can't wait for the launch in July!

Department of Energy also is involved in lots of research considering future energy solutions like cold fusion. In that sense, I hope it's used for research...

Bit behind the latest on the topic, so got "worried" for a sec there that Xe might just be a new Larrabee for HPC.

But it seems Intel is planning to release consumer(client) dGPUs as well besides DC ones. Sweet.
