Where has the Voodoo5 6000 gone? Weren't they incredibly powerful and still somehwat decent by todays standards if you could get one with reliable drivers?
Anyone know if there are any benchmarks on these things? I'm sure with the 4GPU's that thing was a killer. Only thing I don't like is that intel chip on there.
that is a BEAUTY!!!! *wants a 4-cored 6800u* this arcticle describes what are the voodoo5 6000 specs the 4 vsa100 "gpus" didnt have T&L, so they arent gpus. http://guru3d.com/voodoo4/voodoo4.htm there are the voodoo 4&5 specs the v5 6000 specs are at the end, it´s pretty large the arcticle. and here http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=article is a lot of info, from the tnt2 to the geforcefx/radeon9800xt, in the chipset info, and alot more info about other things.
I don't know where you heard that from, but I do know there V5 6000's out there are being counted in 100's, not 10's Jw_Leonhart, don't worry, the ones with Intel chip never worked, the working ones use HiNT Bridge chip
Why haven't ATi or NVidia done what 3dfx was doing. Instead of this stupid SLI, just sell 1 card that can process 2x as much like with the Vodoo5 5500.
because 2 6800u cores in 1 pcb is WAY too much heat and a WAY too large card and they would cost WAY too much
