Vista SP1 64 issue

Well updated my comp to SP1 but had to un-install the RC1 version & then reinstall the final one, but after that got a blue screen upon re-boot.

Got it working but now Crysis crashes, Winamp crashes and so does Media Player, what am I doing wrong? Time to re-install Vista from scratch? :bang:

same type of thing happened to me, i ended up having to reinstall vista

yes its running better now. i tried just reinstalling all my drivers and stuff 1st. for a day it seemed like it worked ok, but then the problems started coming back, pc would freeze up, games would crash ect. i may also need a new hd though because its froze up on me a couple of times and then i got a bsod. other than that i havent noticed anything odd happening with my programs like before i reformatted, games are running great and havent had any problems other then when my hd froze up on me like i mentioned and it bsod on me

 

Try running a system file check.

If you do reinstall make sure you do it at stock speeds, no OC.
