    At that price, besides the 75Hz, I want to know what corners ViewSonic had cut, if any.
    Will keep an eye to read/watch some in-depth review, Tim from Hardware Unboxed has a way with monitors.

    It doesn't have a proper stand, it's 1080p, 250 nits, and 75Hz, pretty low end specs by 2021 standards. Are prices for monitors also nuts right now to the point that that $160 USD or Euros for bottom of the barrel specs is considered good?

    Always had good experiences with viewsonic monitors, even going back to their CRTs many years ago. They tend to look quite good out of the box without calibration.

    Almost ironically the only monitor I've ever had die on me was a very expensive 5:4 Viewsonic LCD from an era where most people still used CRTs. Then again what was considered very expensive back then is normal now even taking into consideration the insane inflation on electronics.

    I bought a Viewsonic XG2405 last year and it had 3 dead subpixels and a bright pressure spot near the power port area. Also weird sunken corners with dark shadows. Quality control isn't very good on these cheap monitors. A shame because otherwise the panel had great color and contrast and the stand is really good.

    here's the monitor market these days;

    4k? nahh
    OLED? a bad word
    HDR? as real as laptop "subwoofers"

    if they keep this up, sooner or later LG will make a 32" OLED with VRR & 120hz, monitors will make as much sense as "computer speakers"
