Hitman 2 water needs fixing
I'm getting frozen tabs that I have to close the entire browser to make work again in Firefox 65, anyone else?
and then the driver no longer applies game specific fixes and settings.
give it up, this alpha D3D renderer is not important enough to focus resources on, it won't exist in a year when vulkan replaces it.
Battlefield 5 uses NVAPI to reset sli and other profile settings to safe defaults.
Thats because every web browser overrides optimal with an adaptive profile.
The RTX series are known to get stuck at 13xx Mhz with prefer max performance set.
This is a hardware incompatiblity with the setting, not a driver issue.
Many thanks bro.
I'll try it and tell later how I went.
Getting random bsod\hang out while playing Battlefront 2 (2017) with "Prefer maximum perfomance", not happening if set to Optimal.
Tried even no OC\downclock gpu, still random crashes with "Prefer maximum perfomance" (after 3-15 min).
Works fine on my end when when using NV control panel, so it might be an issue with NVInspector, are you using up to date fork?
Are they? Ive never had that
Dude, i'm playing exclusively with max performance set and it never happened to me
I've had a couple BSOD with Unreal Engine 4 on this driver, had to rollback.
Haven't seen my 2080 getting stuck anywhere either.
So to summarize:
For those who have an rtx card and want to play apex legends with no crashes will have to still use the 417.75? And Nvidia have yet to confirm that they are working on a fix/eta on a fix?
Btw: this new driver, does it have an anthem sli profile? If it does I have to consider updating, but then again, it will make my apex legends life difficult.
installed and dont have any problems but then again i already played thru latest game releases like Metro
Passing every benchmark and stress tests with OC, Stock and Downclock and you saying that it's Faulty GPU?
Temps are fine too, 75 is his max.
I've noticed the same thing I think. My system is rock solid stable, I never have the issues I see posted in these threads and all my games work without issue using 1080TI SLI.
Except recently Deep Rock Galactic updated their UE4 engine. I went from 50 hours no issues to every second game crashing. It wasn't a BSOD -- the game just freezes, and alt-tabbing doesn't remove the game displaying.
The only other element to change at about the same time was upgrading to the latest Nvidia drivers (starting wit the version before these - first 4.19 version? Can't remember).
Then I tried out Mutant: Road to Eden last night. Playing through the first level, 10 minutes in it freezes and game locks up -- exact same issue as Deep Rock Galactic. Lo and behold, it's also UE4.
All other games no problems. And just a quick note -- it's not SLI as it's not being used in either game, both games are using single card.
Is it UE4 or the last couple of drivers? I've never had a need to rollback, but if it's the drivers, maybe there's a first time for everything
@ManuelG -- is this a known issue?
I don't know why but setting to max performance causes stuttering in some games for me. Leaving it at default is much smoother. Never had this problem when I was on a 1080ti, actually it was the opposite.
Strange! If I was you I'd try using the latest version of DDU (downloaded from Guru3d) to remove all traces of current & previous NVidia drivers, then install the latest NVidia driver. Maybe your NVidia driver install is bad.
