    I simply cant understand why Nvidia is not fixing it? Atleast do they know there is a problem with the playback?:bang:

    I reported on nvidia forums in 197.13 driver topic and they answered "in next release". However tecnicaly there wasnt any offical full release after. There where only Win7/Vista drivers 197.25 (XP missing). So dont know what he they consider next release... maybe 256.

    I hate the 197 series due to this choppy video playback!! All of a sudden i have to try different possible rendering settings in mpc hc to watch movies, at times even the evr custom too have video stuttering.

    A big jump from 197 to 256!!! Too pity, it seems 200 series is not going to make its debut lol!

    open inf file and first find the gpu ID string you will see just 2 from 470gtx and 480gtx
    now add yours

    [Manufacturer]
    %NVIDIA% = NVIDIA_Devices,NT.6.0

    %NVIDIA_DEV.062D.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_062D
    %NVIDIA_DEV.062E.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_062E
    %NVIDIA_DEV.0637.01% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0637

    ^
    these should be yours 9600gt

    copy them and add them, maybe you will need to add the twice
    .
    .

    then almost at the end of file you will see gpu name string and add these 3

    [Strings]
    DiskID1 = "NVIDIA Windows 2000/XP (32 bit) Driver Library Installation Disk 1"
    NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"

    NVIDIA_DEV.062D.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT "
    NVIDIA_DEV.062E.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT "
    NVIDIA_DEV.0637.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT "

    and you're done...

    I am going to try these on my 9800gt, if jericho doesn't work like they do with the 177.40, well these drivers just aren't good for my 9800gt. Feed back later.
    Thanks for the modded win7x64

    It was a joke lighten up.

    BUT XP-64 was a joke also and so was support from both MS and 3rd Party Vendors !

    Hmm MS dropped FULL support fro XP back in April 2009, ok you get minor WU till 2014 by then it will be even more a joke than it is now.

    You want the newest hardware+drivers and latest games (DX10-11) etc but you want to use a near 10yr old OS
