    Hi,
the other day i bought a velocity micro l80x c2d laptop used. The hdd was formated so i installed win xp pro. But when i downloaded the video driver from nvidia (it has a 7600 gs) it said that it could not find any compatible components. Also i noticed that the area where the video card should be was rather hot even when it was doing nothing...could this mean that the video card is burnt out? The standard vga part of the video card works fine but could the other part be burnt out? or is it a simpler solution? thanks

I've never seen a laptop that can use the standard Nvidia drivers...

You need to dig around the web to find mobile Nvidia drivers for that card.
