Thanks. I average about 11.5L/100km so 24.6 MPG. I drive it quite spiritedly coming back up the mountain on the way home so that doesn't help :p But it isn't bad for a 4.0 Litre Inline 6 :) Highway cruising it sits about about 7.2 L/100km or 39.2MPG.

I wouldnt exactly call the 2.2L an upgrade just a bit more torque. Lower redline too. Some prefer the AP1 some prefer the AP2.

a bit more HP, i believe. anyways, the guy we bought it from had the chassis with no motor, so he put the 05' one in there.

still pretty quick. i like it. :) i think the chassis is the limited slip differential, quite brilliant for mountain roads.

Thanks mate but im going straight to the big V8. Im in WA so there are no power restrictions for me on my P's. I could drive a Veyron around perfectly fine. lol.

Probs going to something like this down the track.[IMG]

1998 Ford Falcon XR8 185kw version then supercharge it :)

I would go the BA XR8 but i cant afford it... :(

Nah its actually less per litre than the 2.0. And its 240 HP. The 2.0 is the same HP too. It was a big deal because it was making 120HP per litre on the 2.0.

Yea the Pusuit's are really nice. Most of them are in really good condition as well but they have held their price pretty well. Most are still in the 20's.

One thing i cant stand about the AU's though is the front on the XR's. But that could probably be easily changed for a TS50/TE50 front :)

BTW... you haven't seen this http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/FORD/FAIRMONT/details.aspx?R=6182394&keywords=XE%20ESP&__Ntk=CarAll&State=All%20States&__Nne=20&__Dx=mode%20matchany&__D=XE%20ESP&silo=1003&seot=0&__sid=11DFA343A78B&state_id=0&__N=0%201216%20834%20285%20257&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCount_Int32|1||pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&__Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&distance=25&Cr=2&__Ntt=XE%20ESP&trecs=6 driving around Vic near Watsonia by any chance?

    Another pic I dug up.

This was literally just after I got it and it was one of the first proper rides I did.

Soaking up the glorious Cotswold sunshine...

...then it got -soaked- about an hour later. Love the English summer.

Doing the Dartmoor Classic this year which is 101 miles with 3407m of climb...should be rather interesting ;)
