Crazy sound, she sure goes My son was driven to his wedding in a Ferrari, he still refers to his wedding as Ferrari Day
F40 nice! I've had a lot of cars the past 20 years just wanted an Italian V12. Aventador is "meh" for me from a driver stand point (not from a look at me stand point of course). 812 Superfast just looks too busy the F12 is more visceral and substantially less expensive (relatively speaking lol)
I came out of a DIY shop and this Peugeot had parked next to me, Im not normally one for customised cars other than performance mods and different wheels but i thought this looked pretty good.
Finished work early so I got the red rocket out the garage and gave it a good clean already for the weekend.
I wasn't sure about the red when I order but glad I went for it, I think if you are going to buy such a ludicrous looking car, you might as well go all in. The Merc isn't mine as such, its a work car so I just use it to drive to work and home again.
Also there are only 4 Type Rs in the country, and only one is Red ha ha ha. I'm back in the UK in July so il be grabbing a Non Res Cobra exhaust, some wheel spacers, just 20/25mm and a few bits for the engine like a different air filter housing and a recirc valve. Modern four cylinder turbos sounds dreadful when stock. A friend has just bought an M3 Comp and it doesn't sound much better.
Just ordered a few parts, once i have them its time for a non-res exhaust and a sports cat plus remap.
Gave her a good wash, then compounded with Meguiars M105, polished with Meguiars M205, then applied NuFinish Graphene (don't laugh, this stuff is actually very good). 2010 A4 Quattro 6-speed Prestige Sport Mods: APR Stage II ECU, APR Exhaust, 318hp 405lb-ft.
Love those wheels. I'm just looking at exhausts and whether to just replace the front and down pipes or go full system, probably Cobra or Milltek. Should easily hit 400bhp with a stage 2.
*elbows his way through* Meet Mati. Best lil' car i've had for a while. Had it for almost 3 years and besides some preventive all around fluid changes when I bought it and a round of front brake pads, it just drives and drives.
Finally back with some bits for my car. Today i fitted the 25mm wheel spacers, put the ECU back in after jailbreaking and fitted a new induction kit. Tomorrow il probably fit the cold air feed from the intake to the turbo, then its the back disks as the fronts are still in the UK, and the new intercooler. Than il map it, nothing crazy as i still have the exhaust to put on but like the front disks the exhaust is also still in the UK.
Fitted the new intercooler today, wasn't hard but the heat at the moment is testing, 34c in the shade. Took about 30 minutes to remove the front bumper and old intercooler, then the new one is larger so i have to loosen off the crashbar so i could get it in and then refit the bumper. The number of clips on the underside of the car for the bumper is insane and in good fashion i had a spare at the end ha ha ha. Il re-map it tonight to take advantage of the improved airflow and lower temps.
Next stage, new exhaust. Il keep the stock Cat as it is for the moment but i think il replace it next time i go back to the UK, not sure if il go for a Sports Cat or a full DeCat.
Old one off, and it was way heavier than the new one, and the new one on. Full Catback, il be swapping out the stock Cat with either a Decat or a Sportscat soon.
