My newest vehicule : first carbon mountain bike
Sweet bike Wanny, I have been looking Kawa 636 myself, but need to sell my current bike first. Getting reasonable price from it seems to be a bit of a problem. Had few trade offers for a car, but I dont want a car...
Because it looks like a fat person's sat in the middle of it and bent it. Looks horrible, then again it's not like BMWs have actually looked any good in the past 5+ years.
Let's not forget that it starts at almost $31,000 USD. And that price doesn't even include auto-dimming rearview mirror, power lumbar support, universal garage-door opener, rear view mirror compass, or power front seats with driver seat memory. All of which was included as standard on my 12 year old 1999 Chevy Tahoe, except I don't have driver seat memory. So include those options which should be included with the car, you're up to $35,000 USD. Not including if you want metallic paint, leather interior or wood trim.
But you get a "BMW".
THAT is what you're paying for.
Also : 135 + a tune = quick enough for most. Low to mid 4.X seconds to 60, depending on traction.
You can get similar performance from an STI or EVO at similar price.
Features are comparable, although the interior appearance will look nicer in the bmw (subjective).
That said, I once had a 335. I sold my evo 9 MR to buy it.
Bad move. The evo was rock solid, the 335 was constantly breaking.
I don't regret it just because I don't regret anything that I learned from.
However, the 335 was... well... just 'ok'. And the evo was stellar.
91 chrysler lebaron had for a year now paid $1200 and now has 112000m on it it had 98000 when i got it still runs great
My 94 SE-R
230 hp N/A SR-20 VE Engine
i spy a 300zx
Yep! It needs some upgrading. The Turbo Z is 15.3 in the 1/4, the Sentra is 13.4 lol
Gah! I laugh every time I see a newer Mazda. Looks like the damn thing is looking at you with a big buck tooth grin( when there is a license plate)!
Yea... a lot of new cars have the sort of "face" front end..... Mazda seems to take the cake though.... ESPECIALLY with the Mazda 3. Supposedly it adds a bit of a personality to the car or something. I dunno.... but if that's the reasoning behind it... the Mazda 3 reminds me of that annoying Geico commercial with the pig that went Wee Wee Wee all the way home. "WWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Holy crap, a running Europa
Well... first of all I live in europe and cars a a lot more expensive here than in the US, apart from having diferent models available... at the end I actually got a really good deal. Here an M3 starts at 82.000€...
About the fat-guy-in-the-middle-thing, that's just taste, I suppose that differs from people to people. But I'll tell you something, I've had some BMW & other german cars and I never had any problems with them... and the ride is a joy, you cannot deny that. In my experience, BMW / AUDI / MERCs are still on top... but you pay for it (and the name, I won't deny that)
Ouch, you paid that much for that? It does look good though considering the age. Most you see these days are rusted hulks that are barely running.
LOL i just noticed the buck tooth.
what has been seen....
Don't worry you are not alone. I also noticed since the first day I saw one. Since then, that's the only thing I can see.
Nice looking bike there. Quick one though, Is it a full carbon frame? if so is that such a hot idea for a mountain bike, i would have thought it would be allot easier to crack/fracture a carbon frame offroad. I'd be a little afraid of taking a pricey carbon bike off-road. Or am i wrong, I don't know i haven't got a mountain bike?
