I can best express that choice like this :

If you get an rs-x, you *might* regret not getting an s2000.
If you get an s2000, you won't regret not getting the rs-x.

Street wise, it really doesn't matter.
But if you ever get into racing, you'll see a lot of s2000 rear bumpers.
For track, given good drivers and tyres, it's a white wash in favor of the s2000.
For drag racing, as you add power, the rwd will eventually be priceless.

Like Tom said... not a fan of the chrome wipers... but the wheels actually do suit it.

I'm just not even a remote fan of the whole coffee can/fart can/rice pipe muffler fad.... seriously wish it would die. I've already seen a Jeep Wrangler with one on it. That's just.... for lack of a nice way of putting it.... "Incredibly stupid" put to a whole new level.

If you've got a nice muscle car.... By all means, throw a nice performance exhaust on it so it roars down the road. But there's absolutely no reason why anybody needs a little 4-cylinder with a ridiculously sized wing on the back and a coffee can hanging under the bumper that's bound to scrape pavement sooner or later to be heard as it screams through town, and miles after. It's not an awesome sound, like a nice Ford GT. It's just plain annoying as hell.

Yeah, 4-bangers with fart cans need to go away. So annoying. Performance exhaust is only reasonable on a 6 Cylinder or above.

well.... you can even find performance exhausts for 4-cylinders.... hell, even the 3-cylinder Smart ForTwo has performance exhausts.... and they don't really sound all THAT rice-y. It's when you have very few cylinders and like a 6" tailpipe that it starts to get a little stupid.

    Decent sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apkxrL30E48

    Crap sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omzW-EvqAXA

And in my browsing for two example video's, found the most hilarious prank i've ever seen involving something you'd do to someone's car.

LOL...it'll do part of the work. Gotta get rid of the rain spots and then you gotta work on the other areas after (between the doors etc.)

I didn't buy a Corvette for the interior. Exactly right. I'm coming from an Audi and I don't feel at a loss. It's got just about every option I had in the Audi minus the leather dash (whoopdie doo) :wanker:

Honestly, comparing them side-to-side, both my old Audi and this has...navigation, bluetooth, dual-zone climate control, voice commands (which the vette can do more), home-link, HIDs, memory seats, dimming mirrors, compass, etc. etc. etc. Sitting in it I can assure you it doesn't feel cheap. Yeah the wheel looks' cheap" but it's got a great feel and just sneeze on the gas pedal and you can care less.

Here it was at the dealer before I picked it up.

I swear I've never seen the exterior pics of this that you posted, and I'm not sure how. Is it a C6 or Z06?

    2010 C6 w/3LT (basicaly fully optioned out)

I didn't go for the Z06 for a few reasons (mostly I want the targa roof) and the LS3 can handle boost better than the LS7 for down the road :)

I thought I posted pictures earlier but here are a few I took the other day (1st two) and the day I picked up the car (3rd shot)

Bought it earlier this month with only 17,900mi on the clock for a lot less than it retails new.

I'd love an S2000, beautiful car! I'm afraid it's just too impractical for me due to its size though.

I was a Honda guy for 20 years - Civic 1.3 - 1.4 - 1.6VTEC -1.7 VTi but then got tired of revving engines and went to Volvo T5 sedans. But that 1.4 ('88) was quite nice, did 190 km/h on German highways.

oftentimes and talking about track environment, i'd prefer the high pitch of an engine revving @ 8k-9k. on a neighborhood environment though is different, but both are quite annoying.

btw, the low revving monster i like the most are that of the legendary Mazda 787B. :)

haha yeah it's pretty easy to drive compared to the other manuals I've owned before. I love 3rd gear pulls. I used to have a 99-02 F-Body (Camaro) and top end was where the fun was at. Same goes for the LS3. Here's me dicking around with it on the highway. This is with the worst possible aerodynamic setup (windows down and targa roof off lol). Just laid on it in 3rd. Bone stock for now and it's plenty quick.

The interior on the Vette just seems a bit dull - regardless of the quality. The exterior implies it should have an insane dashboard to me. I see the Vette in the same light as a TVR - a slightly scary and a bit off the wall. The interior says "Cruising at 65 on the motorway", rather than "Aaaaaargh!".

    TVR Cerbera...

They should've let their hair down more IMO is all I'm saying :)

Also, surely a Mazda 787B is about as far from 'low revving monster' as any car could possibly be ;)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKOki34YkK4 That's a low revving monster...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox2wgHqrNy0 ...that's definitely not.

I agree though. In general, high revving smaller engine sound better than low revving big ones.

    Best noise ever?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnCNyB52J0Q

Not all 4 pots with big exhausts sound crap, though. I'll resist the temptation to post even more Saab stuff (even though they do sound amazing ;)) - but this sounds undeniably fantastic.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Rhz_oH4eNA

Engines in low states of tune usually sound bad - but there's are plenty of small engines with low cylinder counts that sound much better than big, lazy ones - which sound awful when thrashed.

Well we are all entitled to our opinions, or else every car would be the same today.

With that aside, a general consensus is that Audi has some of the better interiors in the game and here's a shot of my car I gave up for the Corvette. Does it look "that" much nicer on the inside? Well that's debatable to me.

Some people go OoO AHH look at that leather and the quality of the materials but to me after 4 years it was just "meh"

As for best sounding motors...give me a second to find the clip...I'm a V8 biased individual but the best I've heard is of a different number of cylinders. I'll find it and post it in a minute.

EDIT: Here...go to the 0:40 second mark!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, IMO Audis have boring interior's too lol. They do feel nice though.

Most modern cars are more similar than they are different in terms of interiors. And exteriors, for that matter. It's a shame we've lost the kind of eye-popping insanity that manufacturers used to apply to car design.

You'd never see something like that now :(

Still, at least yours has a dashboard. My current DD doesn't in the conventional sense lol

The Lambo sounds insane. It does also sound like it wants to rev another 1k rpm higher :D

Yea.... i dunno about you's with the whole high RPM small engine cars sounding awesome. lol. I much prefer the rumble of a nice V8 or higher. Kinda like the car i.... believe i mentioned previously.... one of my dream cars, the Ford GT, which i ACTUALLY got the chance to sit in one day.

Not a whole lot of frills.... but once that puppy fires up, the drool starts-a flowin. haha

And for those craving more of the F-body..... ahem....

Should have let it warm up more so that stupid belt wouldn't be squeakin..... but hey.... it's a 12 year old car.
