I've been craving a good vampire game for a long time, I just hope this is it.
As long as it doesn't suck... hehehehehehehehe
Extremely bad jokes aside, when does this release? IIRC Vampyr was supposed to come out (oh look, another bad pun) by the end of 2017?
Afaik, 1H/2018 now. Yes it was announced to release in late 2017.
Thanks, better that they take their time with it.
I'm hoping this game would have some cool mechanic like the combo creator or time manipulation in Remember Me. A twist of something usual if you will.
Vampyr Episode 4 - Stories from the dark:
Also, the game has finally gotten a release date ( Is shown at the end of the video ); June 5.
How is the game? Has anyone of you tried this yet?
Yes, has anyone tried this unreleased game yet?...
For some reason I remember the game to be prettier during the E3 demo. Anyone noticed a downgrade of some sorts?
The release date is 5th of June so we'll know by then
Game looks great.
Really hoping it delivers.
If would have some fun, like in this epic vampire story, would be great.
Spoiler: Dance of the Vampires
Hmmmm. I really want to like this game but so far i'm not convinced. Hmmmmm....
No harm in just waiting for the reviews then. So far with the previews, its been a mixed reception, and I'll admit that has tampered my expectations a little. But I remain hopeful that I'll get a decent, but clunky experience.
But in this day and age, if you can be patient and not pre-order, that'll probably be the best way to avoid regret in some form.
Probably the combat will be more of a .. Remember Me experience, which was quite simple.
So far the combat looks a bit chaotic to me. Hope i'm wrong.
So I was a bit late to the party. But I discovered that they held a Dev Livestream of the game yesterday, but I saw the archived version. It's 45 min long, but they show of some neat stuff that hasn't been seen or even mentioned in previous adverts.
The stream begins 16 mins in.
Spoiler: Stuff from the stream
You earn XP in various means; Investigations - collecting hints about the world and people - Combat - Doing favors and maybe more. But you'll earn the most xp by drinking NPCs blood.
NPCs' have blood quality which affect the XP gained when you feed on them.
As a Doctor (And your vampire powers), you can inspect the citizens and see if they suffer from a disease. They showed a poet, who was sick with the common cold and as a result his blood quality (and XP gained) was lowered. But you can give them medicine and wait for their recovery.
The game has a crafting system; Weapons - Consumables(blood vials) and medicine for citizens.
Your conversation wheel is dependent on your knowledge (Hints gathered) about the NPC you talk to. So if you don't know enough about a situation or person, certain dialogue options are closed off.
Game like this would do good by a demo.
