you really think this is everything valva did?i dont think so
Having a Mac client actually opens up a bigger market. The Mac laptop shares have been eating at the PC laptop sales for a while now and no sign of stopping.
Cross-platform is a great strategy. Only issue is that in the short term it will eat money but in the long run, it's a great thing to have.
but are these mac laptops cable of running these games?
2GHz C2Ds, 2GB+ memory, 9500/9600 GT... i think so
Good for Mac (fan)boys, now about HL2 EP3, HL3, updates for L4D2, Portal 2..............
I just like to see the Mac people using Bootcamp to play any games (this way I get to make fun of them). I guess a couple games can't hurt though.
i'm not happy, and at the same time not sad about this. it is probably a good thing, but i really do not want to see mac take over the market.
the 13 inch has a 9400m, and the 15+ inch has a 9600m GT, so yes...
half life 2 even runs on my GMA 950..
Macs still exist? What a crazy world we live in.
I can run games like The Sims 3 very well @ medium. That means I should be able to run Left 4 Dead on medium or low at 1280x800 on my Mac when there's a native version.
Macs are just PCs with a different keyboard and operating system. There's really nothing else really different.
I bought it solely because it doesn't come with Windows as I needed an UNIX operating system and Linux would eat too much of my time to upkeep.
