Turtle Rock Studios develops L4D - they get to decide what they want to do with the games they develop, they were acquired by Valve, but they function entirely separately.
I was about to go buy left 4 dead with my leftover credits but I waited until E3 just in case. All I can say is my bets are on Killing floor until I can find L4D 2 on sale. No reason to buy two of the nearly the same games... Did this game really need a sequel already? Is this like the call of duty disease or something? The game was fine as it was..adding melee weapons isn't god enough for a sequel.
Well, they added 5 new campaigns, 4 new characters, a new version of the AI director which allows for dynamic map creation. That being said there is no way I'm shelling out $50 for this game when I barely played the first.
now im friggin glad i didnt blow 40$ on L4d damn this game is gonna be hot O_O if they actually give players what they showed in the teaser trailer ie CHAINSAW BABY id pay 60$ pre purchase for this game now =D
this indeed is crap, i bet they are gonna put the ideas in that people posted in the steam forums then ask $50 for it.
I was insanely pissed when I saw news of this. I stopped playing L4D for months until they made an update. They did an update, and the **** wasnt even worth it. Im not getting this sequel. Goodbye valve.
some REVIEW sites says that KILLING FLOOR is a U.T mod and its cheap stuff. My a$$..chainsaw people wanted from the beginning of L4D but they didnt give it..KF gave it and now L4D 2 have chainsaw but too late..trying to milk with cheap addons wont work. KF has already many maps around...it will grow larger..

all that bought the original should get a big discount at launch, now i know that aint going to happen, but i feel really burned by Valve now. cause you know we aint gunna see anything new for L4D ... Cash grabin fockers!
Maybe L4D dev was thinking to bring good stuff as PAID addon laters..but KF did it from the beginning and now i dont ask for more...L4D devs will put it to market, i mean L4D2 and many people again will buy it..shame.
