USB headset compatibilty

My friend wants to get a headset for her Xbox 360. I was looking at the dysmal selection and wondered if a USB headset for a PC would work instead?

 

I don't believe there are headsets for XBOX 360 other than the ones provided by Microsoft. You must route the TV sound to the headset if you want to hear all sound output on your headset. You can't use USB headsets on the XBOX 360.

Not sure if that's what you want or not though.

 

i haven't tried it myself, but i've heard you could use any standar mobile 2.5 headset
