I have previously researched on i5 11400f however it doesn t offer the fps in warzone as the 5600x which offer almost 18 more fps in that game vs the 11400f, so i d like to go with a higher clock 6 core cpu that doesn t break the bank along with my 2070 super.
What do u guys suggest as i am really getting confused researching google all day...

    depends on the price
id still get a 8/16 for frametime smoothness

i don't know what you can afford.

worst option after 11400f,12600kf or 10700kf

    No no no.

5600x/5800x, B550 board is all you'll need. Honestly, any decent budget B550 board even. Unless he needs all the PCIE goodness of x570.

X570 will support zen3d he can have an upgrade path. 5600x is a good option if you can find a deal.

everything is better the cheaper you buy it.
upgrade path for 5600x is mainly an 8-12 core of the same generation, not 3d cache.buying a 5600x to upgrade to a 5600x with 3d cache is a terrible idea.

with 12600kf he's getting a cpu that's faster than 5800x for price of 5600x or lower, what is there to talk about. just use a ddr4 board since ddr5 is stupidly priced.

I was thinking of 5600x to 5800xt with 3d cache or whatever its called.

I would agree on 10700k as its being an 8core tho. 12600k without ddr5? No.

    of course it's better
    3200 ddr4> 4400 ddr5
    3800 ddr4> 4800 ddr5
4133-4400 ddr4 are so affordable these days it'd be stupid to go for ddr5
    ddr45.png

buying 5600x now is just silly.they're still keeping it at 300eur while 12600 is faster than 400eur 5800x and costs the same as 5600x.

wait how is it that slower ram (ddr4) performs better than ddr5? Where's the catch?

wow, you're right, just checked some ddr5 specs, CL38+ yeah that would affect things.

    id still wait for 12400/12500,they're p-cores only,b660 boards (cheaper and still pci-e 5.0 compatible),and get a 16g ddr4 kit to complete it.
that's gonna be the value killer for gaming.

I jumped froma 6700K to a 10700K, its a great solution that wont break the bank if you can find one, mine makes my high spec 3090 run like a dream.
The KF version too if you dont mind losing the onboard GPU.

Even though the new 12xxx CPUs are here and have better IPC, I want for nothing so will not be changing my system until it starts to show issues.
    I anticipate 3 years+.
8/16 cores with decent IPC + clockspeed will have legs.

the window for buying 10th gen discounted is closed.
you could have 10700KF for 280-290eur in Q1-Q2,10700F cost me 250eur.

if you need a cpu now get the 12600,nothing in the ~300eur range comes close,or a 11400f that's the best value for gaming.

Is it worth buying a 10700kf for 340 usd new?? I still need a board, now paying around 500 usd for a 2 gen behind cpu i don t know if i should wait for 12600....it s really a headache

no,it's better to find a 5800x under 400 in that case
it's not bad,but there are better options.
12600 is a better option than both.
