    Hi Guys,

My 8800 GTS 512 G92 is almost at the end of it's run when it comes to the newer games, such as Bad Company 2. I Would like to upgrade and ask you guys for some advice.
    My rig is the following:

    Q9300 @ 3.2 ghz
    4 gig ram @ 1066
    SSD 60 gig OCZ

I was looking at the 5770, is this a decent card and is it a worthy upgrade ( performance wise ).

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

hmm I think it'll be about 175% as good as ur current card (could be wrong) I think u should wait for the 5830, this would still be a noticeable step up tho

What resolution are you running at? I do agree that waiting for the 5830 would be a good bet, though if you need the card now, the 5770 wouldn't be bad in the slightest. It may struggle a bit on larger resolutions, but depending on what you have, should be more than sufficient.

    Hi Guys,

thanks for the response, i play at a 1920 x 1080 resolution. So that is pretty demanding.
Do you think the 5830 will be a good upgrade than. ( i don't want to spend more than around 200 euro).

Agreed. Depending on the game, the 5770 could struggle at 19x10 so it'd be best to wait for the 5830. And yeah, definitely wait until Fermi drops so the ATi prices will go down some more.

1920x1080 doesnt stuggle unless you put 8xaa on tbh.

    I have a 5770 @ 1920*1080 resolution and games run greatly.
Of course you should wait a little more to see how good the 5830 will be and then choose.
