    System Specs First:
    M4A785 Micro
    AMD 955 BE OC 3.6GHZ
4gb Gskill 1333MHZ MB limits it going to 1600MHZ
    Corsair 750w PS
    ANTEC 900 CASE
560ti 1gb EVGA Standard OC 900MHZ Core NO OC Memory 4100

I'm planning on getting very soon a MSI 970A-G46 motherboard and some G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 memory to enhance my rig abit.

I need some help deciding on the 660ti PE or the 670 PE. I plan on OC and I play with a 22' monitor and only game at 1080p at 60hz.

The games I'm playing are Bioshock INF, Far Cry 3, Metro 2033, SC HOTS, Batman Arkham City, and Max Payne 3. For now I run with no AA unless I'm playing BL2 and run on 16x anisotropic, and I like running games on Vsync because the Horizontal tearing bugs me.

I can spend the money on the 670PE but is it alot better than the 660tiPE?, I'm also open to Radeon but I love PHYSX and have only had Nvidia.

I'm looking for very smooth gameplay around 40-60 FPS on these games and can go without AA If need be. I would like to max everything else out though.

The ram on the 670 is more powerful than any lower spec 600 series card, it's the same speed as the 680, i always recommend a 670 minimum for todays games.

Don't want to sound like an ass but a 955 @ 3.6 may bottleneck even a 660ti. I speak from experience had a 940BE @ 3.6 and it bottlenecked a single 6970 in a few games. Just a little heads up. But I do side with SLI the 670 is the choice nvidia card say a WF3, DCU2, or a FTW.

Yeah I know the CPU is bottlenecking but getting the 670 will prob have a major diff compared to the 560ti right?

OMG lol you go right for the 4gb version I heard you don't need that much memory unless you have multi monitors and play at a higher rez than 1080p. I just OC'd my CPU to 3.8ghz and my mem to 1600 My mobo says it supports it but I'm just testing it out maybe this setup won't bottle neck the gpu so much. If it keeps stable

lol your right, But it's like 60$ more though : / and Will the cooler be loud? my 560ti is too loud at 80-100% fan which is annoying. That's why I wanted to get the MSI PE 670 has a great cooler and can be OC'd pretty nice.

If you're open to AMD a HD7950 might be an option, they generally OC incredibly well (Often beating OC'd 670's) and come with 3 gigs of GDDR out of the box. If PhysX really is that important to you go for the 670, if you've got the money it's the way to go. I wouldn't personally buy a 660ti right now as I feel it's at an iffy price point for what you get.

That said, for 1080p I wouldn't pay the extra for a 4 gig 670. 2 gigs is enough at the moment, and will be in the next couple of years with certain settings turned down. Something you'd probably need to do anyway as frankly, by the time 4 gigs are genuinely required the cards wont be powerful enough to make proper use of it.

With next gen consoles right around the corner buying anything less then a 7950/670 would be a mistake.

the problem with the future we really dont no buy a card for games today we hope they will be good in future buy the best you can afford i went with 660ti in sli gives me almost titan performance very future proof maybe......? i know it plays everything now including crisis3

also single 660ti is awsome at 1080p check out the reviews in a few games is quicker than 7950

Well I'm really leaning towards the MSI 670PE 2gb and it comes overclocked right outta the box and it has room for even more overclocking. I am going to upgrade at some point to a 8core processor too, so anyone who has even more info for me I'd appreciate it, Don't wanna upgrade and then have that regret that I got the wrong setup.

I would go with a 7950 at that price range. One of the best cards i have owned for sure and i can easily max out the sliders at 1200/1575 so that is great value.

Another vote for the 7950 especially if you're going to overclock. You could crank that CPU up to 4Ghz in the meantime as well.

I have a 955 in my spare rig that was overclocked to 4.4Ghz....

since this is an nvidia thread I am going to recommend a 670ftw 4gb but you are going to be bottlenecked by that cpu no doubt about that

    A 660Ti is great, they're only a small percentage below the 670.
If I had to buy a new card now, i'd have taken the 660Ti.
My brother has one, and runs games at pretty much the same settings and FPS as me.
