It's been almost 5 years since i last upgraded my system and since a few years ago my system have been struggling to run new games at a decent frame rate so i decided a week ago to pull the trigger and upgrade some components of my system. (Not the whole PC)

I've just received an Intel Q8200 and i'm planning to OC it to get the most out of it.
Now my concern is if my motherboard will be a bottleneck for a HD7850?
I'm asking this because my motherboard only has a PCI-Express x16 slot, not even PCI-E 2.0 let alone 3.0. :nerd:

    Thanks.

PCI-E Gen1 x16 is like PCI-E Gen2 x8. You might lose 2-5% of performance. Other than that it will work fine.
